Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Limited was one of the first companies in India to implement SAP in 1997. Being an External Processing Agency (EPA) of Tata Steel, it has taken the Supply Chain Management (SCM) benefits of the SAP software and is connected to the Tata Steel SAP system through the Application Link Enabling (ALE) feature. The company again created history of being the one of the first few companies that upgraded SAP to Enterprise Version 4.7 and the first Tata Group Company to do so.
